It would also make the most PERFECT back-up amp you will ever find. You will think of multiple uses for it as a poweramp for guitar, bass, keyboard, practice, monitors, small P.A. or whenever you need portable power. Works great for carry-on luggage when on tour. Great as a spare back-up head in case your regular amp head goes out on you in the middle of a gig. Sometimes you just don't want to move a big heavy head around, you can take this instead. Clean or OD, over driven sounds can be obtained with this head. Your jam session or rehearsal solution! Use this along with a pedal board & amp modelers (like a Pod, Digitech, Vox) to get any sound without carrying around a truckload of gear. Gets a nice warm Marshall Plexi-like tone (At full gain, it gets an AC/DC overdrive to Metallica chunk). Takes pedals well. But most people use these to amplify their modeling preamps like myself. It has an effects loop so you can bypass the preamp & use just the power amp section so it doesn't color the sound of your modeler. And it also has a jack to plug in a MP3 player to jam along with. Sounds great powering high gain tube preamps and fits in the back of a combo or your wife's purse, cool!
