This stamp tells the history of the entry of scouting / scouting into Indonesia during the Dutch East Indies period, and the participation of Indonesian bumiputera scouts for the first time in the World Scout Jamboree, namely in Vogelenzang, The Netherlands, in 1937. Together with Dutch scouts, descendants of Chinese , & Arab descendants, scouts of bumiputera from various ethnic groups in the country, took part in the 5th World Scout Jamboree in the Netherlands.
At the closure of the event on August 9, 1937, Baden-Powell ( Their Chief Guide ) pointed out the symbol of this jamboree: the Jacob's Staff and took his farewell.
Perangko ini bercerita tentang sejarah masuknya kepramukaan/kepanduan ke Indonesia pada masa Hindia-Belanda, dan keikutsertaan Pandu-pandu bumiputera Indonesia untuk pertama kalinya dalam Jambore Kepanduan Sedunia, yaitu di Vogelenzang, Belanda, pada 1937. Bersama-sama Pandu berkebangsaan Belanda, keturunan Tionghoa, dan keturunan Arab, pandu-pandu bumiputera dari berbagai sukubangsa di Tanah Air, ikut dalam Jambore Kepanduan Sedunia ke-5 di belanda
