About this leather: Our naked cowhide leather is a premium top grain cowhide that combines comfort and durability. The leather boasts a naturally tight open pore structure that ensures a softer touch and superior comfort. Its weight and warmth are on par with deluxe heavy steer-hide. The full aniline, drum dyed process preserves the leather’s texture, enhancing its natural grain with a subtle, semi-matte finish. It is then vacuum dried (instead of toggle dried) that leads to a slightly stiffer result as the fibers are not stretched and softened. The leather is designed to age gracefully and expand its characteristics over time.
